February Deals From Galveston… $399 for a Balcony Cabin!

Looking for a deal this February? I’ve taken a look at all the ships departing Galveston, including any sort of specials the cruise lines are running. If you’re wanting a deal, this is a great place to start your search…

Carnival Cruises: For their “Vacation Awesome-ation Event,” Carnival is offering 50% off deposits, along with a chance to be one of 100 winners of a special drawing. Winners receive a package worth $1,000 in the form of room upgrades, shore excursion credits, restaurant credits, drink specials, and spa treatments.

This drawing ends Saturday, February 2, and frankly your odds aren’t that great of winning. The good news? Carnival has some great deals anyway.

How about a 5-day trip from Galveston to Progreso and Cozumel, Mexico? I’ve found fares as low as $399 for a balcony cabin if you sail on February 25.

Royal Caribbean: Royal Caribbean offers a pretty sweet deal for Galveston cruisers of up to $200 in onboard gift certificates to use on your cruise if you book by February 15th. Outside staterooms will receive $50 in onboard credit, balcony bookings will receive $100, and suites will receive $200. Sorry, no credit for inside staterooms.

Check out the March 3 sailing of Mariner of the Seas. The 7-day cruise leaves Galveston, stopping in Cozumel, Grand Cayman, and Jamaica before returning. You can get on board for just $499 per person. Or upgrade to a balcony for $999 per person and receive the $200 in onboard credit.

Disney Cruises: No current deals or specials for Galveston departures.

Princess Cruises: While Princess doesn’t have any current specials, I found a hell of a deal on a Spring Break cruise.

Princess’ March 16 departure from Galveston is a 7-day trip with stops in Roatan, Belize City, and Cozumel. For a balcony cabin you’ll pay just $869 per person. Compare that with Royal Caribbean’s cruise leaving Galveston just one day later. Its balcony cabin is priced at $1,149 — $280 more per person.

Happy sailing,
