Paula Deen’s Sour Personal Assistant Doesn’t Like His Cruise

Who would have thought that a February cruise, when all the kids are back in school, would have a lot of older folks on board?

Evidently not Paula Deen’s personal assistant.

According to the New York Post, Paula Deen just hosted the “Paula Deen and Family” cruise aboard the Mariner of the Seas. Leaving Galveston, the ship sailed to Roatan, Belize City, and Cozumel.

That’s where things turned sour. Paula Deen’s personal assistant began tweeting a number of nasty comments about the cruise. The highlights…

  • My room is also the size of my powder room at home. And no liquor in minibar! I am in a dark place!!!!
  • This is a floating nursing home!!!!
  • Over this cruise! Trapped! Crazied! Help!!!!
  • I am in position! Lower the rope!!!!! You should be here with us! Everyone is 80 and up!

But something must have changed his tune because those negative tweets disappeared and were followed up with some boasting about how much fun he was having.

I wonder what could have caused that change of heart?

Just a reminder to all those younger cruisers — yes, cruises lean toward older folks (especially during the winter). And yes, your attitude will determine how much fun you have onboard.

Happy Sailing,
